The Schlegel Classic Racer was made in the small workshop of Eugene Schlegel in Zurich, Switzerland. You can easily recognize the typically detailed work of an artisan framebuilder.
The tubes are connected by beautiful Nervex lugs, the popular choice for high end bikes in the 1950s and 1960s. A nice paintwork with beautiful pinstriping completes the artistry and function of a great Swiss frame.
Additional extras like the bottle cage or the pump are making this bike even more interesting. The highlight of its components is most definitely the wonderful Simplex shifting! Not only does it look pretty cool, it also works quite fine.
This is very authentic classic bicycle, the Schlegel Classic racer is a rare find!
