Here are a series of Werner Möller photos from the 100km Team Time Trials for the World Championships in 1978. Held in  Köln-Brauweiler, the route for this year was 98.2km, as you will see from the results sheet in the last photo. Also, notice the French team and the larger chainring they used for the time trials.

I have a great appreciation for the 100km TTT event as my father won this event as a junior representing the Province of Veneto in 1954 for the Italian Championships. I, too, have ridden this event, and believe was one of the most demanding events ever. These photos are a great glimpse into cycling history, as this event is no longer held.
